The Git on the Budget
On Wednesday, TCNJ President R. Barbara Gitenstein visited the SGA meeting to talk about the student missing and the NJ budget cuts. While her comments about the student were limited to reading an email she sent out to the campus community, she took questions about the NJ budget cuts. She mentioned that this has happened in the past and we have always gotten some level of funding restored.
She also said that she will not make up the difference between what is proposed to be cut simply by a tuition increase. To meet the gap, there will have to be both tuition increase and reductions in expenditures.
So you all better start working to make some money over the summer. I will post updates on the situation as I find them. The college has setup a website here with news and information on what you can do. Now is the time to voice your concerns to the state legislature.
