GoDaddy and Comcast Having Troubles

in Web

I was going to post that many Comcast customers couldn’t access any GoDaddy-hosted sites, among other sites as well. Unfortunately I couldn’t access my site to post. And now I can. Still need to find news on what the issue was. I was able to get confirmation of the problem from this DSL Reports forum post.

i am a tech for GODADDY and its not an issue on the GD end. Comcast decided to block ALL GODADDY connections. So if you have email and or a website with GODADDY and you have Comcast as an ISP. There is nothing you can do. Try running a traceroute to http://www.godaddy.com/. GODADDY is planning on releasing a statement on the issue.

Just wanted to clarify that this issue was not on the Comcast network, but on a vendor’s server on the Internet. We worked with the vendor to correct the problem as quickly as possible and it has now been resolved.
