Radio Firefox: Episode 9

I have posted a new episode of Radio Firefox. This is the first episode from the second season. This season the production quality was a lot better and I planned out each show. This episode also introduces the Wheel of Misfortune where I talk about businesses that have had bad press (Radioshack, AOL). You can expect a lot more shows to be coming soon now that I started using GarageBand to edit.

This episode is a recording of the Thursday, August 31st show from 9pm to 12am. In this episode I discuss topics that include: Making the most out of Google Calendar, Calgoo, Starcraft 2, Marketing tips, useful Firefox extensions, and introducing the Wheel of Misfortune. I also talk about my summer trip to San Diego that included a visit to Comic Con.

Radio Firefox: Episode 7

I have finally posted another show from the first season of Radio Firefox. There is one show after it before I can begin posting the last season that was on the air. You will notice that I am now using TalkShoe to distribute my shows, and once my archived shows are up I will be able to host live shows online using TalkShoe. They pay me based on how many people listen to my shows because they place advertising in it. I’m hoping this will allow me to make enough money for it to be worthwhile to keep running the show.

Episode 7 of Radio Firefox
talks about Google Finance and Writely (now Google Docs and Spreadsheets), among other things. It is from the Wed, March 23rd show.
Download it here directly, or listen to it online here.

Last On-Air RadioFirefox Show

Tonight’s RadioFirefox show will be the last one that is live on-air on WTSR 91.3FM. I wish I had known sooner, and this definitely puts a damper on things.

In the coming month I will be editing my old shows and putting them online. I will also be figuring out a way to run the show as a podcast. It will be live if I can find a way, otherwise it will be pre-recorded. I plan to get better content, more interviews and call-ins from professionals, and keep a consistent schedule (weekly or biweekly).

Future of JasonBlogs, RadioFirefox, Nexus Trade, and all my other projects

Over the past few months, years even, I have been extremely busy with classes. As a result many of my sites have at times gone by the wayside. In a week and a half that is all going to change. I will have more time to work on select projects, and I will be blogging more often at AppleWatch, BusinessBits, and JasonBlogs. I will also be trying to edit as many radio shows as possibly to get them up at RadioFirefox.com. I currently have an enormous backlog of great content, since this semester marked a better planned radio show then last semester.

On the business/projects front Etation.com will be getting a makeover, and I am finally going to make a serious push into web design and getting clients over the next few months. Also, Nexus Trade will be launching in a few weeks as the destination for college students to buy and sell their items with each other. It won’t be only tangible items too, but I’ll tell you about that when the time comes. It has been coming along rather well thanks to my team of coding ninjas.

The next few months will see a renewed push to turn my ideas and obsessions into a business. This could be the only time I will have the opportunity before I have to get a 9-5 job when I graduate, and if it works I will be able to continue developing my own projects full-time. Otherwise I will only be able to work on my projects in my spare time. So now is the time for you to let me know what changes you would like to see, otherwise I will just let you know as I improve and update my various projects.

Live Blogging Radio Firefox Tonight

I just decided to blog live while djing on the air. You can check it out here at RadioFirefox.com. Unfortunately tonight’s episode isn’t anything special, but if Nathan Weinberg winds up calling in I might get a little peak at what’s happening at TechCrunch NYC. How dare they fill up the event before I could add my name to the list. lol. It’s a stretch as to whether he will call in, but one can always hope.

If this works well I might do it more often, and find a way to get the playlists up as the show is happening.

Radio Firefox Tonight: Election 2006, Spotlight on Security, SGA, Dining Services

Tonight on Radio Firefox I have a great show for you. I will be going over the Democrats’ election win, and what they hope to accomplish. I will also cover some of the NJ race. The Spotlight on Security will cover Mozilla and Microsoft security updates. And there is some interesting developments happening in the SGA and Dining Services Committee.

I will be editing the show out of order, and hopefully having it up by Monday. It is just too important not to put online.

Tonights Radio Firefox Episode

If you haven’t noticed, Radio Firefox is back and tonight I will be discussing some recent acquisitions, upcoming Digg changes, the recent Facebook controversy, and the Wheel of Misfortune makes it’s second appearance with a few companies that have had a PR black-eye. This is just a preliminary list and I will be covering more topics that I will decide on before the show.

Remember to tune in to 91.3 FM in the Trenton, NJ area today at 9pm.

I will eventually be getting the show online, but I already have a significant backlog. I’m just not very motivated to edit the shows after they air. Are you waiting for them? If so let me know.

Radio Firefox Revamped, New Season

Radio Firefox has been completely redesigned with a new layout, a poll script, an amazing playlist system, and a contact form. You can check out the full details here.

The new season of the show will be on-air Thursdays from 9pm to 12am, starting August 31st. Copies of the show episodes will be online within a few days of the original airing, with songs removed. Though with the new playlist you will be able to hear samples of most songs played.

I hope the new website will be well received, and I am looking forward to a great season. The new contact form will enable me to connect with my listeners and help TCNJ students. I should have the two remaining episodes from last season online in a few days.
