As I was looking into Soul Calibur Legends I came across information on Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. It comes out November 5th and now I’m wondering if I should get that too. Though there’s a lot of strategy involved, and I’ve never really played those games. It could also be a large time commitment. On the upside it does offer 16:9 aspect ratio support for a wide view of the battlefield. So it could be an excuse to finally buy an HDTV.
What do you think? And can I get into the game without having played the previous Fire Emblem installments? It looks like this game picks up where the last one left off.

Soul Calibur Legends is coming out for the Wii on November 13th. It’s mostly a single player or co-op game, with some multiplayer modes added. A third-person action adventure it’s called. So I’m hoping it gives me a taste of the traditional Soul Calibur game model on the Wii, with a well-developed storyline and innovative gameplay that takes advantage of the Wii remote motion-sensing capabilities. I found some new trailers, and I think I might have to pre-order this game from Amazon soon. Check out the videos of the gameplay.
And I will still need to get an Xbox 360 so I can play Soul Calibur 4 when it comes out.

A teaser trailer for Street Fighter 4 has been released at Street Fighter World. It’s odd that the game had recently come up in conversation. I will embed the video here when I find a copy that lets me do that, but until then go check out that link for a nice stylized teaser trailer.

Gleemax has gone live. Gleemax is Wizards of the Coast’s new social gamer website. You can discuss any games and read up on the blogs of Wizards of the Coast developers. WotC is the creator of Magic the Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, and a whole slew of other game properties. They have great plans for it, as they told me at this year’s Digital Life when I sat down with them. I was able to speak with their Director of Online Media and they seemed very committed to the social aspect of gaming and embracing user-generated content. I just wanted to let you know the site is live so you can check it out. I will write up more about it once I have a chance to check it out in earnest.
There’s a new Spore trailer where the developers talk a little about it and show it off. It is really shaping up to be a great game. And you can read IGN’s Spore Preview.
Here’s a nice video of the Wii controls for NBA Live 08. I’m hoping to find some more reviews soon to find out if the game is worth getting. I also wonder if the Xbox 360 version will be so much better and I should wait until I get a 360. NBA Live 08 comes out October 2nd.
